Politics is a fast-paced and unpredictable game, and sometimes, unfortunate things happen. That's the best way I can describe what occurred on caucus night in Iowa when CNN implied that Ben Carson was dropping out of the Republican race, and the Cruz campaign swiftly alerted caucus-goers that they should consider voting for Ted Cruz instead.
Let's start from the beginning.
Shortly before the Iowa caucus was set to begin, CNN's Jake Tapper reported: ...

Criminal complaint? This ought to be good. What law was broken?
Cruz has a couple big NY Values Donors that are gay.
As long as they have money Cruz does not care.
The burden of proof falls on those who accuse Cruz of lying. Here we are six days later, and not one single person has been able to cite where Cruz lied. Not one.
So, considering the complete lack of evidence indicating that Cruz lied, I would conclude that Cruz did not lie. Do you have anything to add to that?
Unless Mr. Wonderful adheres strictly to the Constitution, all you are advocating for is a slower death with possible spurts of green to make the folks feel comfortable for a while. If his “honed to a sharp edge” brand of knowledge in economics and world affairs (gosh you can lay it on thick) isn’t governed by constitutional principles, the America that you think you’ll get will be entirely disappointing. And Mr. Trump has never conducted business in a truly constitutionally governed economy, so he’ll need all the “advisors” he can get.
It is the Constitution that has made America great, not business folks.
Well, let’s just agree to disagree on what constitutes good humor versus what one might conclude is pure vanity and bad taste. I would also point out that this is hardly an issue but clearly you don’t have a response to the Donald’s support for nationalizing health care, abortion gun control, and other liberal positions. I’m trying to engage you in the hope that, if you’re committed to conservative principles, that we finally have a candidate in Ted Cruz after two establishment candidates (McCain and Romney) failed to defeat the most radical left wing Senator on Capitol Hill.
As for illegal immigration, I much more appreciated the effort by Tancredo to make it an issue and he was far more articulate and well versed on it. I pointed out to you that it was Trump attacking Romney on the issue from the Left and being an employer of illegals shreds your credibility quite a bit.
I am new to this forum but I take great offense to your attack on what you call my “so called conservativeism.” You’re supporting a candidate that was registered Democrat throughout Bush’s two terms, contributed to politicians such as Charlie Crist, Arlen Specter, John McCain, Chuck Schumer, Charles Rangel, and Harry Reid (against a tea party candidate) among others while his largest contribution for committees went to none other than the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. If I want brains and skills, I’ll take Ted Cruz who’s argued cases before the Supreme Court as opposed to Trump who said of the Kelo decision that he “100 percent” agreed.
Yes, I’ve seen Donald Trump’s record and that’s why I’m supporting the only true conservative in this race...let’s Cruz to victory.
This whole thing will work out well for TC. Any question he gets from the media, any question about any reporting, he can just say that he has yet to do his own research and would prefer not to comment....because his team got burned once when CNN knew one thing to be true but reported another...
That’s the best you’ve got? And you used caps to say what I assume you thought was the killer point. But it’s really not that impressive a point.
You should maybe lay off the caffeine.
That very point was brought up in the debate tonight. He should have called Carson since they’re supposed to be such good friends. Carson smacked Cruz hard tonight and Cruz apologized again. So what I’ve got seems to be far superior to your piddling sour grapes.
Calling for a calmer attitude is sour grapes? Thanks for the laugh!
Who are YOU to suggest I lay off the caffeine? A calmer attitude is not called for when there has been such a gross miscarriage of justice IMO. But then of course, I am not a slave of political correctness and liberal doctrines.
