Excellent analysis of the hidden forces that have been actively pushing for open borders/amnesty. I highly recommend. That article also contains a link to a Frontline video chronicling the Gang of Eight bill and it's ultimate defeat.

One takeaway, is just how close we were to it passing. Ted Cruz had nothing to do with it not passing. It was Dave Brat's primary over Eric Cantor that killed it, and just barely.

There was a handful on the Hill that were fighting it and Cruz was one of them. It was hard to fight Godzilla with one hand and no reinforcements.

It looks like the open borders thing is not the end of what our “betters” have in mind. Talking with a Euro friend, it appears that there will also be a major effort to abolish incarceration. I think what we’ve got here is a full-on effort to reproduce the Dark Ages in the Information Age.

The debate needs to bring out the MSM, including FOX, propaganda push for amnesty. The debate needs to bring out how Dave Brat beat Cantor and stopped the amnesty push.
The debate needs to bring out how Citizens can protect themselves by holding their Congressmen accountable.
The voters need to be reminded how Juan McCain campaigned on finishing the wall, then when safely elected, flipped and worked for amnesty and NO wall!
