Your ex-wife’s grandmother was involved in the Occult. Involvement with the Occult invite demonic activity, demonic oppression, and on rare occasion demonic possession upon those that practice it. The Occult is incredibly dangerous. There is an invisible world, and it is very, very real. The Bible warns against practices such as divination, sorcery, working spells, witchcraft, and others. Demons can and do grant special “abilities” as you say, such as unnatural knowledge of events, and others. But they always come at a terrible price. Demons are not your friends. Satan and Demons are subject to the name and authority of Jesus. God's protection and authority are the only solution to defeating evil.
