When I was in law school the book for ConLaw was Tribe’s, my Professor had been Tribe’s student. I went in a young lefty in 1984 and come out a hard core righty. I believed in a living document when I started and was like Cruz, an originalist, at the end.
Tribe has been a Constitutional authority forever - you can’t become a lawyer without bumping into him. And what he says is simply truth, whether anyone likes it or not, the law on NBC and its impact on POTUS eligibility, is not, settled. The Cruzers need to get the matter into a forum with jurisdiction and resolved - starting yesterday. Crowing back and forth at each other will not resolve a thing.
