I would hope that one of the largest municipal police forces on the planet would be of some benefit.

We do, but the specialty around here is Basque food. I know a couple places that make a mean Gyro, but that's Greek no Italian.

Mind you, I'd love to come to NY and try the some real Italian and some of that pizza, and steak. I've heard good things about the hot dogs too.

“When did conservatives start believing it’s a mistake to criticize pro-abortion, pro-queer, anti-gun “values?””

There you go again! (It worked for Reagan!)

It’s only an oh-so-obvious political mistake to call those
left-wing values “New York values”.

Cruz just lost his judgment for a moment, which is ok with me, but doubling down on a mistake is worse than the original mistake.

I learned early-on in my profession (computers) to always promptly admit and correct a mistake, and then move on. Following that policy has kept me continuously employed for many decades. If I needed to insist I was mistake-free I would be living in a homeless shelter.

That’s pretty accurate about white working class New Yorkers

I lived there remember 8 years....hope big ears is listening..lol

But native Jewish elite on Manhattan used to upper west side in 80s are decidedly Vermont level lib

As are hipsters but you’re right the hipsters are not native usually

I found that I always got along really well with Italians in Brooklyn

I still have friends from Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst

Irish ok too but some were kind of Unionish

New York Pizza wins.....that is not debatable

New York deservedly get a Pass card for 9-11

No one else has lived that since 1941 on our soil

Cruz was not smart to do what he did

And I like him

And Trump

Trump bested Cruz which surprises me

He’s ready

The GOPE KNOWS IT

now I gotta go....370 miles in the rain

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh,this is going to be rich! Watch now folks, while ‘conservative’ freepers attack the heartland and the South, the last bastions of societal American moral values, in defense of NYC liberalism!

That sweet story still does not change the fact that NYC votes overwhelmingly liberal.

Get over it. Ted did not bit*h slap anyone. Besides as I said most of those who disagree are not going to vote for him anyway. Why waste the effort.

There are lot’s of other voters with similar beliefs who would have said the same thing as Ted. The truth hurts, but the truth is the truth. Ted and New Yorkers in general do not have the same values. So let’s agree on that.

Trump likes everybody. I think that is an admirable trait. He even says he likes Cruz. So why can’t the New Yawkers be like Trump and like everybody too.

Of course in Texas, we don’t give two sh*ts whether New Yawkers like us or not. We are not easily offended. We let it roll off our backs and keep doing our thang. Which incidentally is to get someone of conservative values elected POTUS who will clean up the mess Obama has made. I’m sure some of the other 56 Obama states will agree with Texans who care enough to send the very best to Washington.

It sucks to be a liberal. Even worse if one is a New York liberal. Now that’s a bit*h slap.

“Get over it. Ted did not bit*h slap anyone.”

So what he said was now a complement?? “Values” are not derived out of thin air. They come from PEOPLE. Which people Cruz was talking about was not clear no matter how many times you guys just place (insert leftist political thing here) as what he really was supposed to have meant because it sounds better.

It doesn’t matter how much you love a stupid statement like that just because it “gets at” them New York people, it’s going to cause him more trouble than some of you are able to comprehend, now or down the road. Maybe some guys on talk radio will cheer, but it was played against him to make him look foolish and thoughtless, no matter how much pi*s and vinegar you display on FR saying the opposite.

It would be just another ploy for the mind-numbed. He said last summer that he would not defund the Planned Parenthood butchers and look at their “good aspects” until it cost him support, then he was all for defunding them claiming he would shut down government to do so. What’s next, redefining the meaning of the word “is”?

"It’s only an oh-so-obvious political mistake to call those left-wing values “New York values”."

I notice you're going with the meme that Cruz didn't mean New York City, which is false.

Because otherwise, there's no way you could be saying that NYC is not one of the most progressive, pro-abortion, pro-queer, anti-gun cities in the country.

Right?

Yep, the media again suggesting, no telling, the sheeple they should be offended if a candidate thinks the great state of New York's is a liberal state with liberal values. This nothing about nothing whose sole purpose to to degrade Ted Cruz. It will pass.

There much bigger issues over the horizon. Some of which will negatively impact Trump. Trump should prepare himself for such a time when he won't be able to hide behind the polls. He's living in a political bubble supported by fans, not supporters, who will dessert him at the first opportunity. He is not a true conservative as time will reveal. Let him lose Iowa or any state in the early voting and see what happens. You are going need some of that pi$$ and vinegar. Good day.

“This nothing about nothing whose sole purpose to to degrade Ted Cruz”

He said it! Should they all just have kept quite because it’s inconvenient to him?

“He’s living in a political bubble supported by fans, not supporters”

Of course. The old “No one really supports Trump, they are just fans of his” trope. Many “smarter” people for months have repeated it, only to look stupid when it’s shown to be the opposite.

“...who will dessert him at the first opportunity.”

“Trump has peaked” is usually how it is written.

“He is not a true conservative”

Of course not as we hear 100000 times a day... And anyone that dares support him is a fakey-fake fake conservative and likely a fake christian, and most likely a fake American. So says our betters.

“Let him lose Iowa or any state in the early voting and see what happens”

Ok...

Prolly because fewer New Yorkers per capita get married in the first place, or marry young. They develop their careers first.
