A solar oven is a great idea - no smoke when cooking, no sound, no telltale glow at night (though there are other means to avoid that) - and it’d be great for making jerky to make any meat you have last as long as possible.

Jerky can also be made in the sunshine with screens but you'll likely get flies and ants. Chalk those up as extra protein.
Tomatoes and acid fruits can be home canned in a solar oven. Don't even think to can meats or vegetables unless you want botulism.
