These days I would, no problem. Due to other circumstances, I had to put up a security system that has both video and audio recording capabilities. The A/V spools locally and streams to the cloud. Previous to, I simply would not have answered the door.
Home security systems with audio/visual may become the CCWs of the near future.
Bad guys don’t know who’s packing and are deterred.
If bad cops don’t know who’s recording they may be deterred at the front door.
When bad cops DO know who’s recording they tend to become extremely violent.
