As farming moves indoors, what becomes of the ecosystem that includes insects and pollen?

Bring them in, or genetically engineer them out.

On a very, very small scale, I do indoor farming in my greenhouse. I release lady bugs and praying mantis and of course, insects get in as I come and go.

I use a grow light and a heater. I’ve raised tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and yellow squash. Everything else started in there requires more room than I have and has to be moved outside but my greenhouse is only 8X10.

With a large enough one and enough grow lights, you could grow just about anything.

Robot pollinators perhaps?
