So the nuclear maniacs plan to do battle with the rich sponsors of terrorism. Is this a nice New Years present or what?

Unfortunately once it starts, it won’t end there. You can bet the Indians and Pakistanis will let theirs fly. Maybe n Korea or the Chinese take advantage and EMP our asses.

No tears shed here when Saudi Arabia collapses. They have long deserved it.

It's not going to do much for the price of oil, or the chance for "world peace" in '16 - more likely it leads to a world in flames before this year is out. I'm losing count of number of hotspots in the world.
I'm pretty sure we're gonna need to keep Obama in office just to sort things out. /s

That should lift oil prices. It's what I'm thinking. Should see a nice spike in futures tomorrow.

What could possibly go wrong at this point? Everything is moving into place for the sounding of the Final Trumpet...

And people say ‘History does not count’ this squabble between Shia and Sunni has been going on from the start of Islam. They are really serious. We should stay out of it.

Pretty weird that the US has been so intent on ousting first Khadaffi and now (still) Assad, while kissing up to Saudi Arabia. What country has been more supportive of terrorism and worse about human rights than Saudi Arabia?
It is the prime example of everything that's wrong with US politicians.

The House of Saud is the ones with the oil.
To: amorphous
Is this a way for SA to force the war on the US in the ME against Syria and Iran? We screwed up as a country by creating the petro dollar and tying our future to these lunatics.

"It is the prime example of everything that's wrong with US politicians." The Saudis have hundreds of billions of US dollars.
They have to do something with them.
So they buy US politicians (e.g. the Clintons, the Bushes
Obama, various Senators & Representatives, etc).
Gives the Saudis a great deal of influence don't ya think?

“the chance for “world peace” in ‘16 - more likely it leads to a world in flames before this year is out.”
It is like Jimmy Carter’s last year in office - the bad guys have to get as much as they can before the the opportunity passes.
In 1979, the Soviets invaded Afghanistan, and islamists overthrew the Shah in Iran.
This year the Russians and islamists are on the march again, but China is grabbing at the South China Sea as well.
The enemy gets a vote in what happens. I also expect flames this year.
