To begin with, Congress should act to make sure no one on a no-fly list is able to buy a gun. What could possibly be the argument for allowing a terrorist suspect to buy a semi-automatic weapon? This is a matter of national security.
We also need to make it harder for people to buy powerful assault weapons like the ones that were used in San Bernardino. I know there are some who reject any gun safety measures. But the fact is that our intelligence and law enforcement agencies  no matter how effective they are  cannot identify every would-be mass shooter, whether that individual is motivated by ISIL or some other hateful ideology. What we can do  and must do  is make it harder for them to kill.
Next, we should put in place stronger screening for those who come to America without a visa so that we can take a hard look at whether they’ve traveled to warzones. And we’re working with members of both parties in Congress to do exactly that.
Finally, if Congress believes, as I do, that we are at war with ISIL, it should vote to authorize the continued use of military force

Deny a right or deprive one of property based on a secret list? I guess nobody will have an issue with that.
I just did something I haven’t done in 5 or 6 years. I went over Daily Kos to see how they think their guy did tonight.
I was very surprised to discover there are some who actually are concerned about isis, about using the no-fly list for a gun grabber, in fact , very concerned about how awful the no-fly list is anyway, secret, long appeals process etc. The tone wasn’t worshipful.
However, here’s the thing they love, love, love on the left : being rational. That’s a big one, the president is calm and rational.
There was plenty of snark toward trump, cruz etc. But they were “rational”...
The White House a few weeks back said they agreed with France in declaring the attack there an ‘act of war.’
The attack here was what?
A reason to promote gun control.

You know, many people in other countries have resented the US bullying them and telling them what to do. Obama was going to “fix” that.
So, now we are in a position telling Turkey to seal the border with Syria...in the meantime, our border with Mexico is about as easy to cross as the one between Illinois and Indiana.

It looks semi-reasonable on the face of it, but the real reason is that once you're on this list, .gov gunthugs can kick your door in at zero-dark thirty "for the ARSENAL" and gun you down if you twitch.
They don't have to notify you if you're on the list, I presume.

The DHS has numerous employees on the terror watch list.
Nullifying my 2nd amendment rights via an unelected, unaccountable bureaucrat without due process = violation of civil rights under the color of law = high crimes & misdemeanors.
