read your own reply in your post 114. That is one way.
Wrong again. The Catholic Church does not teach that anyone (let alone "most") "escapes hell" by going to purgatory. Church teaching is that when one dies, his or her destination, either heaven or hell, is already set. That's it: either heaven or hell. Purgatory is not for those that deserve hell, but only for those who are already destined to heaven, but still have some attachment to sin when they die or have not fully made an attempt before they die to make some kind of reparation for the damage they have caused in their lives by the sins they have committed. This is a simple matter of justice and would describe a lot of us including you.
Hebrews 12:14 says we are to strive for the holiness without which no one will enter heaven. Revelation 21:27 says nothing unclean will enter heaven.
Let me ask you: Can you presume to say that if you died right now, you have no attachment to sin of any kind and that you would be able to stand before the All Holy God still attached to your sinful habits-- or am I addressing an All-Perfect human? Doesn't it make sense to you that there would be some kind of cleansing or "purging" that would have to take place so you could not take those sinful habits or attachments into heaven?

You’re compressing 1000 years into a single second there!
Also what is translated “in the air” is in reality “in the spirit” (same word, different thought). The air is of no importance to the realm of God; we will be breaking away from “space-time” (the material universe) to an existence in the real realm of God that surrounds it. There is a brief description of the physical effects of this event recorded in John 3:7-8.
You are correct that only those gathered in that event will be saved, but there will continue to be those in a material existence on Earth for another 1000 years.

>> “Faith in Christ makes you obedient to Christ. We must be careful of the thought that âworksâ are part of it. We cannot be obedient without Christ.” <<
.
Nevertheless, that faith is demonstrated in works, as clearly explained by James. It is the writing of Torah on our hearts that constitutes the gift of faith.

>> “We demonstrate our faith to the the Messiah through our works.” <<
.
Or to phrase it in a slightly different way, Our works, or lack thereof, are the evidence of our faith.

Understood!
I wouldn’t vote for Ben Carson unless the only choice I had was him or a demoncrat. That being said — I’m not voting for “National Preacher” and neither should you. Seriously. Not being snarky; trying to be honest. Why do you care how pious he is? Faith is not “social plumage”, yet more and more, that’s what so called “religious” people seem more interested in.
As the Bible says, I WILL test every spirit...
“Do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.” (1 John 4:1)
“But test them all; hold on to what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
I listen to God and His Holy Word, not YOU...
“But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29)
Amen!

Unbelief is VERY DANGEROUS! It is directly at the heart of one’s TRUE Salvation.
John 5:37-38...”And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form. “You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.”
John 10:24-26...”The Jews then gathered around Him (Jesus), and were saying to Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. “But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep.”
Titus 1:15...”To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.”
2 Thessalonians 2:12...”in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
On target!
Amen!
