The Chicago bolsheviks are playing a nuanced game. Their first priority is to retain control of the WH. They can't just take Clinton down. They'd like to ditch Hillary but they don't have a viable substitute candidate. So their game is to pressure Hillary into agreeing to a regency presidency; she gets to bear the title but they get to put their people in the right places to effect policy, make appointments. Hillary's ego and power craving won't admit of such an arrangement so the Chi-bolshies have to keep nudging up the pressure. Hillary's calculation is like Sam Spade's in The Maltese Falcon:

“If you kill me, how are you gonna get the bird? And if I know you can't afford to kill me, how are you gonna scare me into giving it to you?”

'the bird' being control of the executive function of government.

I’ve said much the same thing as well.

Even holding open the possibility of a Torricelli/Lautenberg scenario where Clinton is indicted after getting the nomination.

It would prevent a complete meltdown at the convention that would make 1968 look like a minor and respectful difference of opinion. Clinton could even stay on the ballot in such circumstances, all it would take is for her to direct her electors to vote for Biden. After which she’d accept a full Presidential pardon.

I see that possibility but I think there will be a revolt on the far left if they anoint someone at the convention. They might have to dust Biden off and throw him in before the 2/20 filing deadline in South Carolina...or certainly before the 3/1 Super Tuesday filing deadline. wdyt?

I was wondering what Obama’s plan was for extending his Presidency. Biden is perfect. I would imagine they have his balls in a jar, and even before they did, he was so liberal that there wasn’t much he didn’t already agree with Obola on anyway.

Yeah, I could see Hillary going to jail, which is going to be weird because jailing political opponents is a liberal wet dream. To see Hillary hoisted by her own petard on this would be some tasty schadenfreude.

I don’t know why Biden decided not to run, except maybe he didnt want HilLIARy bad-mouthig him for the next few months.

But I would bet money he is hoping Obama is going to do somethgin to nail here... then he waltzes in with Elizabeth Warren, and nails a large female vote.
