Ping to my post 196 ... about why I'm rarely impressed by people who don't drink (unless they were screaming alcoholics like me with serious "ISS yews" and quit for that reason ;^). I don't drink, haven't for more than 20 years, thanks to the great support of my friends, family, and mostly, my Savior JC, whose birthday is coming up pretty quick, incidentally!

And b9 my wonderful friend, I will also tell you that many, if not most, of the most cherished valuable loyal resourceful wise people in my life ... DRINK. God bless 'em!!! I am happy and blessed to now be their designated driver!

Trump’s stance regarding alcohol impresses me deeply because, like my husband’s, it comes from witnessing devastating effects in his own family and deciding it’s not for him.

I drank for a period between age 20 and 21, and scared myself almost to death, realizing I couldn’t drink in moderation and couldn’t stop til I was passed-out drunk. It was an easy decision. Haven’t drank since, and chose to marry a non-drinker, still together forty years later.

Like my husband, Trump made the decision through observation, not
experience, which I admire no end. Thus my tag.
