Here's what the oddsmakers at Boomaker.eu had to say about setting the spread for the Carolina at Dallas contest, which opened at Cowboys -1 with a total of 47:
From a pure power ratings perspective, Carolina should be favored in this matchup. But given that it's the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day with Romo back on the field, we had to open the home squad as short chalk. The country will be watching and the Cowboys are still America's team.
We'll see how the action develops for the game over the course of the week, but it's already clear that while the game may feature the two teams with the best and the worst NFC records on paper, it's also clear that a Cowboys team led by Tony Romo is a very different entity than a Cowboys team not led by Tony Romo.

Panthers are the most dangerous team in the NFL. The Patriots I saw tonight could NOT beat them, nor even come within 10.
Buffalo had NE’s number for most of the game. Brady looked pissed. I suppose it comes from playing each other twice a year. I ‘d love to see the Panthers do a number on the Patriots. Do they play each other in the regular season?
Nope. But they may meet in the super bowl. However I can't see N.E. doing it without Edelman.
Thanks for posting Romo’s records.
Didn’t he also have the highest QB rating in the league for the last season?
Of the Cowboys losses this season while Romo was out, four of them were lost by a combined 8 points and three were lost in OT. Several of those games would have been won with Romo.
(I despise that label Americas team..I donât recall voting in that election!!)

Then blame the sports media, as they are the ones who did the labeling, when the Cowboys became a favorite team across the nation and was selling more gear and jerseys than others.
Oh no I am...I just figured I’d get all I could out of you as you’re team is somehow favored! :)
Straight up then? Loser pays 50 to the Cruz campaign?
Deal!
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and bleed Green and Gold, but this is a bit of revisionist history. After Lombardi left, the Packers had a few decades of suckdom where the President and GM were most certainly NOT held accountable.
It wasn't until Bob Harlan became president and Ron Wolf was hired that things got turned around and winning became the primary goal. Prior to that it was mainly a good old boy network and 8-8 was good enough.
