Pension legacy costs for public school employees have skyrocketed statewide, not just in Detroit. Outlaw defined benefit public pensions - it's a ticking time bomb thanks to overly generous pols trading future taxpayer funds for re-election in a quid pro quo with union boss thugs.

..but if a municipality does it, its considered good fiscal policy. I remember when the Clintons were in the White House that they had access to a lot of these little slush fund accounts. No doubt they raided them all. A future run for Hillary no doubt.
