Donald Trump said Thursday that Ben Carson's self-described "pathological temper" is incurable -- adding that it's like the sickness of a "child molester."
"It's in the book that he's got a pathological temper," Trump told "Erin Burnett OutFront," speaking about Carson's autobiography. "That's a big problem because you don't cure that ... as an example: child molesting. You don't cure these people. You don't cure a child molester. There's no cure for it. Pathological, there's no cure for that."
In his 1990 autobiography, "Gifted Hands," Carson attributes violent behavior in his youth to his "disease," a "pathological temper" that the Republican presidential hopeful said caused him to strike one friend with a rock and attempt to stab another. In subsequent accounts of his violent youth, Carson said he once attempted to attack his mother with a hammer.
"I'm not bringing up anything that's not in his book," Trump told Erin Burnett. "You know, when he says he went after his mother and wanted to hit her in the head with a hammer, that bothers me. I mean, that's pretty bad. When he says he's pathological -- and he says that in the book, I don't say that -- and again, I'm not saying anything, I'm not saying anything other than pathological is a very serious disease. And he said he's pathological, somebody said he has pathological disease."

Didn’t go the direction you wanted.
I’m interested in truth; not here to oblige.
Didn’t Cruz just say he was for deportation, on Tuesday night? Almost unbelievable the way he is trying to steal the views responsible for Trump’s popularity.
Not everything can be parodied by reversing the two people or parties.
.
Trump has lost his mind.
.
“As long as heâs not calling Carson a child molester Iâm not righteously indignant. Carson has to go and soon. Trump needs to wrap this nomination up.”
What is the hurry?
... He is doing much better in that respect but still learning. Besides campaigning itself is a brutal ordeal physically....which is why Hitlery hasn't done much of it...she's not in shape to do so. She's going to save herself for the Presidential election run.
I think he's also tired......as most get at the pace he's been going...when the tide is high you ride it as long as you can...Trump has been riding his exceptionally long from his get go....and nobody was as surprised more than Trump that he would be so popular so fast.
At any rate I'm still a Cruz supporter and will stay that course too....
I wonder if there’s a picture like that in Trump’s house, in which the positions of the two figures are reversed.
I like your energy. If not being candy a@@ed means that bombast is the way to win a political engagement regardless of damage done to an honorable person, then Trump is your guy.
Some people have poor educations!
I think he is betting that he can get Gentle Ben to become unhinged.
What Carson wrote about himself if fair game. Can you imagine the frenzied outcry if Trump had written the same about himself?
His self-revelations are strange, but that is not the reason for my rejection of Carson; it is his stated policy positions that I completely disagree with, am horrified by.
Trump is not a psychiatrist nor a psychologist, so I don’t think Trump is qualified to make statements of this type. Now if he were referencing the work of someone qualified, that would be different.
Regarding adolescent anger issues, I know plenty of people who outgrew such issues. Also, Carson’s adolescent issues were a combination of anger along with a belief in a lack of consequences. I certainly saw some of that with young people when I was young, especially among male kids without a father in the house. They usually straightened up once they got into sports (with a male coach authority figure), got sent to live with a male relative, got religion, or had a run in with the cops.
I think the difference between Trump and Carson is Carson outgrew his pubescent churlish behavior.
Ncalburt, I hear they’re doing great things these days with anti-psychotic drugs.
Just a hint.
Trump is being his usual classless self. Pretty disgusting comments, but we’ve seen this kind of thing from Trump before. It is what we could expect from a Trump presidency, which is why he will not win the nomination.
Oh stop it, you are part of the cult of Trump and wouldn't be "righteously indignant" at anything Trump said.
Carson has to go and soon. Trump needs to wrap this nomination up.
No thanks. I'd rather see Trump fade away via his stupid, obnoxious comments and behavior - which is most likely what will happen. "The Donald" simply does not have the temperament to be an effective President.
OK so Trump is taking it to his opponent...GOOD.
Obama’s race wars, Hillary’s campus wars - all designed to elect a liberal.
This is a war, a culture war for the sould of this country and people are worried that Trump is hitting too hard, sheesh.
What I will tell you is that you belong on the campus of the University of Missouri so you can huddle with the rest of the butt hurt nation. And, thanks for the personal attack. You cried about Trump's attack on Carson on a personal level and then you go right ahead name calling.
You're pathetic.
That link is JW
You are beginning to sound a little too strident. The first symptom of desperation. :-)
The Establishment is in PANIC MODE!!! Hence, this article.
They know Trump is going to win, and now they are trying to bring back the loser Mitt Romney. I guess they know Rubio and Carson will not last.
Go to Drudge Right now. Itâs the top center story.
