"Would my subjects kindly refrain from hunting my deer, on pain of death." ~ King Edward the Confessor (paraphrased slightly).
Rodents chew up sheds pretty quick. Squirrels chewed up a head I put in a tree to rot out and clean out.
The deer ticks have taken over in my neck of the woods. Disgusting parasites. If I get them early and they haven’t imbedded themselves I just pick em off and kill em. If they have been buried in my skin I go for antibiotics. No sense taking a chance.
20-30 years ago it was only wood ticks and dog ticks....no longer. No spotted fever that I have ever heard of in this locale. Just Lyme.
lol....look squirrel.
Yep- they’ve taken over where I am too- people getting lymes left and right- and really messing them up too as Docs don’t diagnose it soon enough because it’s relatively new- heard of folks being told it wasn’t lyme’s even when they had obvious bull’s-eye rash
Yep- years ago ticks weren’t even a thought in our minds- We kids lived In the woods- Today I can’t even go for a hike without having to brush myself of after every hike- shake out shirt, check legs for ticks etc- Uggg! I miss the old days
Baiting is one of the vectors for Chronic Wasting Disease. It’s a major cool idea, but will cause serious problems for the deer herd.
They hide from you....
