Highly doubtful. Donald Trump is not interested in being VP. He wants to be in charge. Alpha males don’t take second spot. 44 year old senators trying to move up in the world do. And they should. They have time.
Why and how do you assume Trump doesn’t have a ‘ground game?’ So far, I believe Trump is the only GOP candidate to qualify for the VA ballot that was pivotal in ‘08, and for which some of the then-leaders did not qualify in ‘12. THAT, my friend, is an effective ground game.
You seem awful sure of that so I guess we will see. I see it differently.
I guess I said what I said because I believe it ;- )
I will just say I would be very surprised if he did. Yes, it would be historic, but I have a hard time believing that he would. Now, of course, I don’t know the man so these are just observations very far from the source. So, sure - it wouldn’t be the first time in my life to be wrong. But he doesn’t strike me as a second fiddle kind of guy. I think he would sooner bow out of the whole process and play king maker - or attempt to. Anyway... thanks for your thoughts. It is going to get interesting going forward. There are so many “wars” on the political scene. I just pray we get either Trump or Cruz - and esp. not Hillary.
Carson is done with conservatives with his backing of PR statehood.
By ground game, I mean that Trump does not have all the local party faithful in the states. He needs the local signs, call banks, people who give parties, people who show up at local events and start conversations with everyone saying why Trump is good and everyone else sucks. Getting your name on the ballot is very good. That means someone went out and got all the petitions. He’ll need local lawyers to defend those petitions too.
If Trump was smart he would get on every ballot even democrat states like Illinois and Massachusetts. Since he has the money now, he can collect delegates.
Eight years of Trump, with Cruz getting the first Supreme Court slot to open works even better.
We agree. My words were: “Trump will attract more voters and enthusiasm than anyone else, and I am 100% certain that Cruz is a reliable conservative.” There was no “not” in there.
Sorry, I think as I get older it’s not just my memory that deteriorates - must be my reading skills as well ;- )
“Cruz is more acceptable to the Establishment than Trump is.”
I’m just LMAO over that. The GOPe will be stuck supporting Cruz (who they hate) if they can’t handle Trump. Rock, hard place.
Ted, Crush Marco in the next debate!
