“Had he accepted, a form would have been filled out in his name and signed by the commandant of the regional ROTC and sent to WP admissions’”
Except for Carson never did fill it out, and there is no proof his ROTC Commandant ever sent anything in for him as he never filled out an application form for his Commandant to sign and send to West Point. It never happened. So how could Carson refuse an offer that was never made for an application that was never filled out by him or sent in by anyone. Hard to refuse an offer that never existed. And who gave him the offer? And who did Carson give his refusal to?
Round three Cold, lol. You just don’t come up with a plausible (emphasis on plausible) explanation for this. And Carson used the word “offer” in his autobiography, on his own Facebook page, and said it on PBS in his interview on the Charlie Rose show. He said “offer.” We all know what an offer means from West Point, and it’s not some nebulous thing. It’ something concrete.
America has higher standards than this...and for someone to take pen and paper and do this to another human being is disgusting and is a mark on American values....
I don't know if Carson did or didn't do, that's not the point I'm making....but I will stand up for anyone, I don't care who they are, when this type of action is done to anyone....
YOU know I am a proud, solid Trump Support, always have been and always will be, but I sure would hope if something like this happened to my candidate, someone would see the injustice and say so...
America has much higher values than to do this to any human being, especially while running for the highest office in the land....
I think we have all stipulated to that fact, and Carson said exactly the same thing. It never got past the verbal stage.... It was, You can have it if you want it" and he did not want it. Instead he went to Yale. Not a hard decision for someone who decides a military career is not what they want. You seem to think that the term "offer" has to be in writing. It does not....It never has...If it is, it's called a written offer. The type of offer one sometimes uses in real estate for example...but the only reason the reaestate offer is in writing, is to prevent the buyer from ducking it. Most offers are verbal until accepted and then it codified by contract or whatever. You are making a mountain of a mole hill.
