As long as Obama controls the JUST US department and it takes 67 votes to jail him expect nothing new in the District of Corruption.
The endgame for an impeachment doesn’t have to be conviction and removal.
It works from a tranparency perspective as well.
DoJ has finished it’s investigation and concluded there was no prosecutable crime. A full up impeachment investigation and proceeding can now, publicly, expose everything that happened.
I don’t think that 5th Amendment protections apply, either, since DoJ has exonorated Lerner and the others. Why would you need 5th Amendment protections for something you’ve been exonorated of?
