Shouldn’t a comedian be funny every once in a while? Thought that used to be a requirement.

About once a month I break down and check out SNL. Can’t watch more than about 10 minutes before grabbing the remote. They haven’t been funny since the ‘70s.

Off topic, a bit.... Since lame comedian Tom Shillue became host of “Red Eye”, it has been nothing but a half-way house for unknown comics like himself.

“They haven’t been funny since the ‘70s.”

Not funny at all now. Sadly, SNL, like Colbert, Maher, etc., do form ideas in voters’ minds. For example, my “intelligent” lawyer friend truly believes that Sarah Palin said, “I can see Russia from my house (or front porch)”, when it was actually Tina Fey.

In ‘08, there was someone at a polling place, giving a quick quiz to voters as they left. One question was, “Who said, ‘I can see Alaska from my house’”? Most responded that it was Sarah Palin.

So SNL isn’t funny. It does help to indoctrinate the extremely stupid liberals.

And “Red Eye” sucks with Shillue.
