Is irresponsible gun ownership any more deadly in casualty rates than irresponsible automobile ownership?

Of course guns are neutral inanimate objects like rope or cars. My point, and I think
montanajoe's point, is that it is simply prudent politically to avoid the Left's assault on
the 2nd Am. Not that they will ever stop the assault, but why would we not exercise
especial care to prevent such fodder for them? It goes without saying that the loss of life
here is the tragedy, and certainly parents will never ever wish to experience this suffering.
Perhaps if we networked more successfully to help each other to know the best ways to
keep guns in the house, we might help to prevent such incidents.
