I could see them getting a landing done, then what? Obama immediately caves to China, probably, and California ceeds the land out of guilt over Chinese railroad workers, and then the people of California (well, the conservatives of California) arm up and kick them out and keep the land as the seed of a new state.
I mean, if we're going to play fantasy, might as well drop a tiny bit of reality in there in the end.
