I hate these things |
1961 Citroen Ami looks like a Mercury that was forgotten in the dryer |
“Nissan is coming out with a newly designed Titan with a Cummins diesel and 6 speed tranny..also has a built in gooseneck hitch.”
I subscribe to Truck Trend and their July/August 2015 has your truck as its feature article. Per the write up the truck is indeed very impressive. They listed the new Cummings 5.0 V-8 to have 310hp and 555 ft-lbs of torque. While more torque than any of the current 1/2 ton gas burners, thought that 555 was bit light for the engines’ potential. In the engine write-up, it’s stated the engine block is made from compacted graphite iron. There’s no mention in the article whether the cylinders are sleeved or not. Maybe it’s considered a given that the engine is sleeved but I suggest you confirm this nevertheless. I’m old enough to remember GM’s disaster with an unsleeved (modified gas 350ci) diesel back in the 70’s. Anyway, other than that, appears to be a winner in the making :)
I strongly suspect that modern cars are designed by the same people who design today’s bloated junked up sneakers, crossed with Japanese anime fanatics.
RUNNING...?
I too am bored to death by current styling trends
All the esteemed German premium cars look Korean to me
They’re certainly having a field day with LED lighting
World’s ugliest - Citroen 2CV. It looked like it was made by children out of corrugated tin.
Weirdest car - the Messerschmidt 3 wheeler and Aerocar (tied)
Just plain awful - Yugo
Most limos for the POTUS aren't great looking but the current Cadillac one looks awful to say nothing of its occupant.
Actually got it up to 90 one night on the freeway.
Scared me to death--never did it again.
Walter White made the Pontiac Aztek cool.
Sadly, it wasn't enough to save the car or Pontiac.
“Yeah, that first ones a pack of cigarettes by the way.”
Actually looks like a band-aid box that used to be made of metal.
LOL!
Lena Dunham's ride?
LOL
Just the mere idea of a Porsche with FOUR DOORS is insane..makes me gag....to actually build them is hideous..
So called "Brand extension" always ends up killing the goose that lays the golden egg..
Holy cow both my wife and I can’t stand those things!!
Three years ago we rented a car from Enterprise for a two-week road trip. They gave us a Cube. People laughed at us every mile of the way. It crapped out as we were entering Santa Fe. Took Enterprise two days to get us a replacement. Not a Cube, thankfully.
I drove an Econoline pickup for awhile. Not sure it gets much uglier than that.
#2 I’d drive it, yeah, camp out on the coast!Would’nt have to worry about campers letting their kids bother you.
#4 it wasn’t as bad as the last Edsel..., I think..Is the guy holding the woman up cos she’s laughing so hard?
#6 Fiat’s redesign of the Dodge Magnum, thankfully not built
#9 Was this Loery’s tribute to Virgil Exner’s assymetrical styling exercises?
#13 I saw this in a older copy of Collectible cars. A priest designed and built this.
#18 This had to be the Skipper’s car on a 60s Buick limo. Wheres Gilligan?
