You’re wrong. Liberals HATE Uber, AirBnb, and the sharing economy. It represents freedom of choice, and there is nothing they despise more. If someone wants to save a few bucks besides Uber instead of buying a car, why should you care?
Liberals hate Uber because it threatens the taxi monopoly. Those “working class slobs” (often immigrants) pay upwards of a million dollars for a medallion for the hood of their car so they can legally operate in New York City.
It’s more of a “union” thing.
Funny thing is a good number of those who heavily promote Uber (and many talk hosts do including Michael Medved encouraging people to drive for them, personal safety be damned) are paid to do so. Kim Commando, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt...
Whatever happened to LYFT? You DO know that there was a rival service that BOTH appeared about the same time. Uber got all of the press but if you were on social media you would’ve seen the promo codes for each at many events. Sometimes it was exclusively Lyft if they were an official sponsor of an event.
And I know plenty of libs who are happy about using Uber in their vacation travels or to crowded events.
Drive your own car for true freedom of movement.
