” Another example of why I take anything said by a poster who landed here after November 4th of 2008 with a large grain of salt.”
—
Now that’s kind of silly.
.
It’s pretty early to call the race. Cruz is the smartest and most qualified for the job.
He killed it on colbert.
The only senator willing to take on republocrats.
Cruz has my vote
Experience is the best teacher.
Exactly what Leadership has he shown? He’s been in the Senate a little over two years.
So lets see he voted for the Corker Bill for one thing.
Frankly I just don’t see the attraction of Cruz.
The process is owned by the GOPe. That’s the problem. We don’t have a normal process!
And frankly I don’t care about your opinion. I’m done explaining myself to idiots like you or anyone else.
Consider it a win for yourself if you wish but don’t waste my time.
When Ben Carson was being excoriated by the media
about his statements concerning an Islamic president,
Senator Cruz gave the correct response, what does the
Constitution say.
He is my choice for President.
Cruz is a good man, and, as you say - somewhat preachy. However, he talks at us - not to us and he is so smart that he talks over most people’s heads. There is nothing wrong with that if you are a lawyer, and that’s exactly where I see him - either as VP or AG. He would be a great AG of the United States. But, president? I just don’t see it - He just doesn’t seem to be connecting with the voters and I seriously doubt he will get cross over votes. I’m quite aware of the Reagan coalition, but, it isn’t Cruz who is pulling this together - it’s Trump who is pulling from all groups.
I asked a question and you didn’t answer it.
So it’s a draw.
You can take it with a grain of salt if you like, but reality is reality. There are trillions of dollars and great power hinging on this election. An outsider like Cruz will not be allowed in. Trump can beat the system easily because he will even have democrats and blacks voting for him. Hell, even the unions are looking to vote for him.
If you want to delude yourself, go ahead. We have had only one conservative president in a lifetime.
Baloney - Trump has smacked them down one by one. Sure, he uses a different tactic, but his tactics have worked.
Wrong, your guy voted for the Corker Bill. The only Senator with any guts was my Senator Tom Cotton who was the only one to vote against it.
Exactly, Trump connects with people, Cruz doesn’t connect. If he did, he would have huge numbers because he is a good, honest, smart guy.
So you believe in just crowning Trump as the nominee today?
Damn the whole election process to hell?
It’s so ironic that Trump supporters attack the one candidate that their own candidate actually really likes.
Take a clue from your guy.
What the heck will you all do if Trump wins the nomination
and chooses Cruz for his VP?
Trump/Cruz is the preferable ticket.
Well, we can see already that there is one main objection raised to Cruz as candidate, that being that he’s too cerebral for the job and doesn’t connect with people.
One might then have to say that in that case, a large number of people who recognize the situation and the potential of this guy should negate that by becoming his army of supporters. This negative can be turned into a positive simply by saying that the man is sincere and not a charlatan, and that the situation is too urgent to settle for an airship when there’s a plane on the runway.
I could vote for that, but the process must comes first.
But, by the way some Trump supporters behave, I may change my stance on that. Note my tag line.
Hey, look... we finally agreed... somewhat.
Cruz 2016
Cruz has so much going for him, but I don’t think this will be his time.
I’m an equal opportunity basher. I bash Trump (my candidate) as much as I do the others. It’s just that I don’t see any of them as perfect, nor do I worship or approve of everything they say or do. It would be insane to put someone on a pedestal. Only Jesus deserves our praise and worship. However, I think Trump and Cruz are the only 2 worth voting for in this upcoming election. If I criticize Cruz, you can bet I criticize Trump as much. They are flawed human beings - but we sure need some good leadership in this country. It has been a very, very, long 7 years.
