[ At the Wal-Mart checkouts the EBT slot is under the machine, not on the face like the one for credit and debit cards, which I’ve learned by watching the oxygen thieves. Take a look next time you’re there. ]
Imagine a guerrilla attack on the card readers by inserting a piece of double duct taped card stock into the slot the day the EBT and SNAP cards get refilled, it would force all the EBT and SNAP people to not use self checkout.
One can dream....
Or course it would probably cause a zombie riot, os it is not recommended...
The EBT cards at the Wal-Marts up here run through the same card readers as the debit and credit cards.
Also, EBT cards are NOT all refilled on the same day. In Washington state, the day they’re refilled is based on the last 2 or 4 digits on the card.
