Last winter an incredibly expensively dressed Indian couple was in front of me in line at Wal-Mart. They were wearing leather coats and carrying designer leather bags. The were wearing expensive looking jewelry. (I used to own a jewelry manufacturing company. It was good stuff.) They paid with an EBT card. I doubt you could embarrass them, but by all means its worth a try.
At the Wal-Mart checkouts the EBT slot is under the machine, not on the face like the one for credit and debit cards, which I’ve learned by watching the oxygen thieves. Take a look next time you’re there.
