When Paul was alive some Christians were saying you had to be circumcised. You had to follow the Jewish law. You had to be Jewish. You had to listen to what the leading Jewish Christians said. You had to accept what they told you, or you'd get called to Jerusalem and persecuted.

The catholic church came along with its own leadership structure, rules, procedures, and policies. There has never been a shortage of people saying that simply believing in Christ was not enough. And while somehow Jesus took his message to the poor, to the uneducated asking them to simply believe in Him and be saved, the catholic church is convinced there is more to it than that, and men were not smart enough to understand it without their leadership, guidance, and instruction.

Amen! Still to this day man does not listen. Jesus said...”IT IS FINISHED” but ALL false religions say it isn’t finished and they add “works” to what Christ already did at the Cross...
