There ARE RCs who have had a real Salvation experience, by watching TV or even listening to an evangelist on the radio.

What is the difference between a "salvation experience" and the LDS "burning in the bosom?"

I know almost nothing about LDS doctrine. I’ve read some about its founding; the golden tablets, and the magic spectacles that enabled Smith to read the tablets. It sounds a bit....er....ah...shall I say....(harrumph)....far fetched. But who am I to criticize?

In all fairness, mormons as a lot, have their fair share of scoundrels and sheisters, such as the notorious Warren Jeffs and his associates, to name some recent ones. But probably no more than any of the mainline denominations. And in the main, they have some pretty high standards for themselves and do some admirable things.

It may be a bit like Clairol. Only the Lord knows for sure.
