Yes, you could tell immediately when he began waffling and not directly commenting on his position(s) immediately. The GOP consultant class relieved him of his campaign funds and then moved on.

Yep. He brought in all the wrong people from Washington to direct his campaign. He went from a clear plain spoken 'doer' to a waffling, weather vane who couldn't express a point. Meanwhile, the DC consultants drained the money he raised on their people while his number collapsed. I was really excited about him last spring, as he showed me a lot in his early speeches. This one is sad to me....not just the dropout, but the 4 month collapse.

I was one of those who had Walker at the top of my list.

Walker got bad advice, and hired people who were sent to make sure that he failed. The "big donor" class does not want immigration shut down, and so any candidate who is dependent on big-money donors can't really take an anti-immigrant position.

The advantage of Trump is that he does not depend on the "big money donor" class (the GOP establishment).
