I don’t understand any of this.
I have a small mortgage which I could pay off with some savings.I have no other debt.
Is that the kind of debt that you mean?

Just bought 4 acre ranch cash. Close early October. Taking rest of year to pay off rest of debt. Do feel like I am running out of time

Why? I’m not in debt, but if I was, I’d be able to pay it back in inflated dollars.

That depends on whether currency inflates, or deflates, and whether the cost to service the debt is pegged to inflation. When currency inflates, the debt is paid off with “cheaper dollars.”

All of you folks in DEBT for Anything or Any Reason are going to be in a World of HURT.If it goes totally haywire, debt collection and being a sheriff's deputy are going to be dangerous occupations. All that unsecured debt out there is not collectible without heavily armed authorities and debtor's prisons. Anyone suspected of being responsible for this cluster had better move to the bunkers.

Nope. Personal debt won’t mean anything if SHTF.

I think the ones who are owed are the ones in trouble.

It’s rather funny that you put the word, “debt” in all caps. I just noticed the letters EBT as in Electronic Benefits Transfer in it!

Why would I pay off dept before an inflation cycle. That makes no sense.

All of you folks in DEBT for Anything or Any Reason are going to be in a World of HURT. I partially disagree. When the world blows up, all current mortgages my become null and void. The banks are not even going to have money for people that was in the checking accounts.
We are about to enter uncharted territory.
