Your scenario is iffy at best, DesertRhino, for a lot of reasons. Granted the "signal" may or may not have been a signal, but FACTS are that he was standing there watching for a long time, and if you read the article, it says what he did afterward -- talked with LE for awhile, disappeared into Don Carlos and never reappeared. Sure -- a "biker gang lookout" would have done that??? Rii--iii--ght.
I suppose it -could- be one of those types that sees the fighting beginning and slaps them selves in the head in disbelief. Kinda weird to me, but a few people do that.
