Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It looks light it might be very effective...the Monitor, or was it the Merrimac, that utilized the same design with success. (assuming that deflecting the bullet is advantageous)

If we really wanted to be sneaky we should design our warships to look like whale hunting protest boats and let the crew wear whatever they like so long as it is tie-dyed.
