Liberals across the country have engaged in a full on media meltdown over the Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples in the county she serves.

Not surprisingly, most media outlets have been leaving out one key detail from the story.

From NBC News:

A federal judge has ordered a Kentucky clerk to jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Kim Davis, a clerk in Rowan County, was found in contempt of court on Thursday morning by Judge David Bunning. Davis has said granting marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples would “violate God’s definition of marriage” and infringe on her personal beliefs as an Apostolic Christian.

Davis, a registered Democrat, had worked as a deputy clerk for 27 years before voters in Rowan County elected her as clerk last November.

Did you catch that?

Turns out, the horrible bigot from the backwards, racist south is a Democrat.

This is certainly an interesting development. All the name calling and terrible comments that have been levied at Kim Davis from the left, are actually being directed at a member of their own party.

So much for the notion that the Democrats are an all accepting party that is tolerant of everyone’s views.

I guess there are some liberals out there who believe in religious liberty. Who knew?

Who has decided she is a “horrible bigot”? Is she a bigot for practicing her religion? Are those who decry her practice of religion bigots?

We almost all have homosexual relatives or friends. I have two homosexual cousins. I definitely do not hate them, but I do not believe they have the right to marry. Am I a bigot?
