There was another series, it ran about the same time.. that depicted US troops in the Italian campaign..but for the life of me I can't remember the name. I too had problem remembering this other series. Did not run long.
"The Gallant Men" was a 1962–1963 ABC television series which depicted an infantry company of American soldiers fighting their way through Italy in World War II.
