Someone first had to access the classified information on the prescribed systems (SIPRNET, e.g.) and then had to transfer that information/document to the unclassified (NIPRNET and Hillary's home-brew server system), removing any classification markings as they did so.

The questions I have are were these "cut and paste" portions of other emails or documents or were these attachments to those documents? If the latter, what was the format of those documents? MS Word, pdf? It explains why Hillary turned over only printed emails rather than the electronic versions - 1) makes it harder to do a "dirty word search" to find classified terms and 2) any attachments to those emails would not be included.

At the end of the day, someone will be thrown under the bus - some loyal staffer who will go to jail for Hillary and The Cause. He/she will testify that he/she transferred classified info from one system to the other and removed classification markings - all without Hillary's knowledge or direction. Of course we all know Hillary directed her staff to do just that, but finding someone who will testify and be credible or will provide proof is the task for the FBI.

I have to admit that I don’t know how things work at the State Department and that I have a very low opinion of how they things do over there. My own experience tells me that moving documents from SIPRNET to any other system is complicated and is usually only authorized by a few people, most users cannot do it. Moreover, there is a paper trail when those document are moved, certifying that only the unclassified portions were moved. These people were jumping through hoops to get around the system and if they didn’t get something to cover their rear eads, they are really stupid.
