Yes, you can disable these for now, but these can be turned back on by Microsoft upgrades without the user’s knowledge, or by future malware without the user being aware of a privacy attack. Windows 10 is going to be a highly vulnerable platform.

I totally agree. Even worse is that (and you’ll note how distrustful of Microsquish I am ;’) I wouldn’t put it past them to install “dead switches” that users can push but don’t in fact do anything. That way it lures people into a false sense of comfort while allowing MS to continue spying on us.

They really deserve a closed-fist smackdown for this.
