The “gay thing” and abortion are not mentioned in the U.S.Constitution. Therefore the States have the power over those items.

It is up to the social conservatives to put on their thinking caps and deal with it ON THE STATE LEVEL instead of always whining about it.

That's just the point! We CAN'T deal with it on the state level, because a rogue Supreme Court has in each case (Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges) STRUCK DOWN the rights of the states to deal with it, by imagining some non-existent personal right that is not found in the Constitution! This is a violation of the Tenth Amendment! So we need a change in the makeup of the Supreme Court--whose justices are appointed by the President--in order to change this back at the federal level.
