I have to disagree here. I think they would have been a lot more serious about raising their children and cracking down on the leftists in the US.

I was on vacation last week and spent some time with Dad's squad leader, who's 95. He didn't go that far, but he's definitely discouraged and looking forward to putting this life behind him...

My dad, now departed, landed on Normandy. He saw the Clintons, Jimmy C, and finally O. His comments on all of them were “ and this is what so many of my friends/comrades died for”. No way did we ever envision that the America we fought to keep free would be this foolish.
