But you are making the mistake of thinking they are still speaking English. They are speaking real-world Newspeak, which sounds a lot more like English than Orwell’s fictional Newspeak, and has the characteristic that words can change meaning as suits the interests of the left, sometimes even after they have been spoken.
According to my handy Newspeak-English glossary (which is necessarily non-exhaustive, since a new meaning for the word can be added at any time as suits the left, but lists only the primary sense of the word most commonly used by the left) we have
racist n. (1) white person or person of European ancestry, (2) person who has criticized a political position taken by a person not of European ancestry, (3) person who has criticized any program, policy or social desideratum of the left deemed by the left to be beneficial to racial or ethnic minorities, (4) any non-Muslim who has accurately described aspects of Islamic doctrine or jurisprudence deemed impolitic to describe by Muslims or leftist, (5) obs. racist.
