The race is still early yet.

We just don’t need people on our side kept lecturing us Trump is not a conservative, we get it.

Cruz has demonstrated that he’s not afraid of the Washington elite but he will still be honorable and play by the rules in his crusade to take on the left.

I hope he gets the nomination, but IMO, the sports adage applies here "Nice guys finish last."

Trump is the precursor ... for Cruz.

I hope you are correct. What VDH misses is that Trump is shinning the light exposing the hypocrisy on both the Demon-crats and the GOP establishment enablers. He is not nearly as adroit as Cruz, nor do I want him running the country, but for the moment Trump is doing the heavy lifting for the media circus, helping to clear the path for Ted Cruz. (I hope!)

Cruz would be wise to adopt, “The Second Mouse Strategy”....Let Donald gain support by taking his message direct to the people, but when he inevitably gets “trapped”, the Cheese will be there for Cruz to take.

That’s actually kind of my point. What does it say about us as a nation that we value those who are self-promoting and belligerent? We have an honorable candidate. Why aren’t we backing him? I’m all about championing success and being for winners and all that but I’m not voting for a political Lance Armstrong that’s willing to cut corners to get ahead while there’s a better person in the race. It will come back to bite us. I think Trump is such a guy and there’s a price to be paid for his kind of “win” and that kind of thinking. Vote your conscience - I’ll do the same. Our nation hangs in the balance.
