one man's opinion...

This is just to take a little breather from all things Trump, Obama's cave to Iran, and the sadness over 5 brave Americans getting massacred by a home-grown Islamic terrorist.
So then, what are YOUR favorite TV commercials? And enjoy!!!

Showed the power of marketing to distort issues and mislead political consumers. Truly THE ad of this century: the century of the media.
The "I'd like to teach..." Coke ad gets second place.

I don't have a link handy, but back in 2000, Snickers had their "not going anywhere?" campaign, and totally nailed Gore and GWB as an animated donkey and elephant explaining why the guy should vote for them. Even-handed and funny.
They followed that one up with a crack or two at the recount process in Florida, as well. Topical, funny, and politically neutral - well done.

The “Hump Day” add is about the only GEICO ad I can stand. I’m so sick of the gecko that I could throw up.

The one where the man's lost in a newspaper article when his wife walks in and says:"Does this dress make me look fat?"
Without paying attention he murmurs:"You betcha!"
She walks out.
A voice over says:"In the time it takes to assemble the sofa bed, you can get" something or other insurance.

Herding cats. My wife and I saw that with another couple. The guys got the joke and laughed our tailbones off - the gals apparently had never heard of the "herding cats" adage.

“We’ve secretly replaced all the coffee in this expensive restaurant with ground up clam shells and sand.”
Patrons proceed to spew sand out of their mouths and dump cups and pots on the carpet. Out come the vacuum cleaners and proceed to clean the floors.
Forget the vacuum company but great ad.

Funny, I don't remember what was being advertised.
I used to see that ad when I stayed at my GF's house in Westchester county.

Ooey, gooey rich and chewy inside,
golden flaky, tender cakey outside.
Wrap the inside with the outside, is it good?
