Maybe the data they are looking at indicates several problems occurring at the same time.
Usually in this sort of catastrophic failure, all information and computer systems are locked down and a thorough examination of every nut and bolt that went onto the rocket is conducted. We shouldn't expect to hear anything with any authority for months. This puts a severe constraint on the ISS resupply, and starts to put the current crew's safety in danger.
