Why is the US Flag diplayed Upside Down?
The upside down U.S. flag is an official signal of distress. It is not meant to be, and is not officially recognized as any type of disrespect when so displayed for the right reasons. To the contrary, here is the relevant part of the US Code of Laws regarding how to fly the flag when in distress:
THE FLAG CODE Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10 As amended by P.L. 344, 94th Congress Approved July 7, 1976
§ 176. Respect for flag: No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
Most individuals who have served in the military service of our nation will (or should) recognize this signal. As a result of the many traitors and enemies we as a free people have, both foreign and domestic, as a result of the many unconstitutional acts, legislation and atrocities passed and/or committed against US citizens and their life, liberty and property, and as a result of policies that have allowed (and continue to allow) enemies of this nation to enter in large numbers through a porous border policy, I believe the life, liberty and property of US Citizens are in dire danger and distress.
the 2012 election saw a number of ‘friends’ dropped by the right and the left on facebook.
Even family relatives were no protected against ‘unfriending’.
What’s a face book?
It’s a socialist networking site. Like twitter and tumblr.
An incredible marketing tool for your business if you know how to use it right. Also gives you an avenue to publish writings that would never get published any where else. Unfortunately, if you discuss politics it just makes you look dumb to the people who don’t agree with your politics. It is what you use it for. Yes I was a convert to it last year. Saved my businesses in more ways than one.
Just double checked, 2 % of my American Friends have openly celebrated this. Saw my first rainbowed profile. They appear to be using Facebook/celebratepride ap. Fools. Being herded like sheep to the corporate slaughter houses.
I have one in my home office that has been upside down since the day Obama became president/dictator.
There is an uncle whom I will not talk to because of his obnoxious support of Obama. I will have to deal with him eventually at my parents’ funeral, whenever that will happen (they are still alive and doing quite well, and share in my disgust with this Usurper). I have already made it known that if my uncle launches personal attacks and otherwise disrupts things, I will have him escorted out of the county by a deputy(I am designated executor of the estate).
I saw that too...bunch of freaks!
Burning the American Flag sadly is protected under the 1st amendment. Can you imagine 4th of July parades across America burning homosexual flags in protest. I would love it.
Wearing Red-White-&-Blue is in and of itself a protest against the pornocopia rainbow.
I flew my flag at half mast yesterday to mourn the passing of our country.
Hoist the skull and bones.
Tons of people on my FB are changing their profile pics to have some BS rainbow on them.
SO FAR, I only have about 5 that changed to this nonsense....all married with children no less.....but that is out of about 680 so it is not that many.....Although it does look like more because they are in dire need of attention and keep posting nonsense all day. I noticed most of my normal friends are not posting today. Probably still barfing from that horrid news.
What would happen if had a burn-in with said flag in front of the Extreme Court?
Been doing the same for as long. You never know now though who might see it in their daily work and pause a moment to consider the idiom.
hate crime?
I fly a navy jack. I refuse to fly an American flag any more.
It wasn't, yesterday. It is, today.
Under the spreading Chestnut tree,
I sold you,
And you sold me...
Yep, the Extreme Court committed it.
