Military has used QuikClot for some time, and is switching over to Celox because it does not need to be flushed from the body like QuikClot does.

Pardon my ignorance, but is QuikClot the one based on shells of sea animals?
I have some, but friends say I need to switch to Celox, which is sorta expensive.
