Since the laws consider any cash over $10k to be unnecessary and evidence of possible criminal activity, cash is confiscated every day in this country for that reason alone. And repeatedly these seizures have been upheld in court.

I have read nothing that indicates possession of these amounts of cash in one’s home is exempt from this legal presumption of guilt.

I’ll concede that if you are discrete the likelihood of the authorities finding out is slim. Nonetheless, possession is possession be it in your home or your car, or your suitcase. All it will take is an A Hole neighbor with a grudge making a call to the police claiming you deal drugs and store the cash proceeds in your home. When they bust in & find no drugs they will seize the cash as evidence of (undefined) illicit activities.

has plenty of examples if you are willing to wade through endless articles of government “brutality”.

Or just do some searches for articles on cash asset seizures. Loads of them out there. Incredible sums of money being taken every year for that reason alone.
