On June 11 The Washington Post intimated that police in America might not face the tensions they currently face if they shot less and talked more.
The Post reached this verdict via a comparison between the tactics of lightly armed British police and those of heavily armed Americans.
According to WAPO, the elite cadre of British cops who are entrusted with guns almost never use them. Police in Britain have fatally shot two people in the past three years. They then report that shooting two people in three years is less than the average number of people shot and killed by police every day in the United States over the first five months of 2015.
They quote various sources to suggest the lack of police shootings in Britain are the result of extremely tight protocols whereby shooting at moving vehicles, people brandishing knives and suspects fleeing a scene are all strictly forbidden except under extreme circumstances.
Greater Manchester Police chief Peter Fahy said, Theres a huge emphasis on human rights, a huge emphasis on proportionality, a huge emphasis on considering every other option.
Note the focus on proportionality, which indicates that police do not respond with greater forcegreater weaponrythan confronts them. This was our unspoken policy in the Vietnam War, and how did that work out? (Read the rest of the article)

I disagree that localities and states, or FedGov, have the “right” to do anything. Their very existence is dependent upon the consent of the governed, therefore they have no inherent right to exist. An entity with no right to exist has no other rights, but exercises its existence and any other function on sufferance.

I think ExGeeEye addressed our current situation and it’s time to Cowboy up.
I am fed up

**** “The courts could help the police by shooting, hanging, electrocuting, and/or poisoning more criminals” *****
As long as it starts with Politicians and Media then we can work our way down to Petty Crimes.

Start with repeat murderers.
American people can help themselves by shooting more, and waiting for the police to show up less.
Tuco’s rule: “When you have to shoot, shoot. Don’t talk.”
Like Iran?
That would be Government and their Media

Good rule, just have a plan.

From a town not far from me.The parents of a young man with [low level retardation] called the police because he locked himself in his room, the cops came with their swat team within the next 45 mins he was dead, shot by the cops as they broke down the door when he would not respond to commands. Parents never recovered from the incident and moved away. Everything swept under the rug no one ever prosecuted.
Just judging from the events in the news Id say the cops need to shoot more....a lot more!
They’re already dying faster.
Yeah, we have to find some way to break their unions and their grip on city and county and state governments, they are in the early stages of going feral.
Most people are clueless about how police are selected, trained to policies and rules, monitored for compliance to those rules, outfitted and with what and for what purpose, local judges and their abandonment of any oversight of warrants, etc.....
Police need to start policing those who we elect to run our cities, states, and federal government. Too often those in charge are engineering the exact chaos they claim to be preventing for political purposes.
American Police Could Help Themselves by Shooting Less, Talking More
A kinder, gentler, hands off Police Department has resulted in Baltimore having criminals in charge. More evidence that liberalism is a mental illness.

What is happening in Baltimore is not shooting less, talking more. Baltimore cops are pouting because some of their brothers are being punished for not following policy. Cops think the world and society revolves around them. They need to learn they have jobs and work for the local citizens. Going home alive at the end of the shift is important but not part of the Constitution.
I’m a year ahead of you. I’ve got that taken care of. I’m also thinking that if and when the “S” hits the fan, I’ll be well prepared. I hope you weren’t the one who believed the government when they said that registering your weapon was just a way for the government to “PROTECT” you.
Thanks :)
I need to add to that the remark I heard from too many VN vets to count...
“When I left we were winning.”
Getting arrested for assault/murder/etc...
I just revised and expanded it :)
Getting into TL:DR territory now.
zactly!!!!
