Sunday, June 7
Norway vs. Thailand in Ottawa, 1 p.m. (Fox)
Germany vs. Ivory Coast in Ottawa, 4 p.m. (Fox, NBC Universo)

538 doesn’t see either the Ivory Coast or Thailand making the knockout round. Both teams will likely have terrible goal differences after playing the Europeans, meaning a draw in their head-to-head will doom both to early exists.

They’re two teams that wouldn’t have qualified if the tournament wasn’t expanded. Thailand likely wouldn’t have qualified out of Asia if North Korea hadn’t been banned, while Ivory Coast finished third in the African Women’s Championship. In 2011, only two African teams made the World Cup.

If that is not a foul then they need no refs on the field.

Sweden vs. Nigeria: Can the Super Falcons beat Blagult?
In five high-profile friendly games, Sweden managed one victory against the Netherlands, drew one and lost three others.
Sweden women vs Nigeria women - Match Preview
USA have a best squad in the group, and when these two go on to face them, they're going to have a tough time. That doesn't rule out the threat Australia could pose in the ''Group of Death''.

2015 FIFA Women's World Cup: Cameroon vs. Ecuador Pick
Cameroon hopes to turn some heads as it competes in its first Women’s World Cup.
... Ecuador is another team competing in its first Women’s World Cup and looking to make a statement.

U.S. face Australia as 'Group of Death' comes to life
No nation will face a tougher road to the final than those in Group D with three teams ranked in the world top 10, the U.S. (2), Sweden (5), Australia (10) and top African nation Nigeria (33).
Matildas warn US not to underestimate them
"Look I don't really care what they think about themselves, we're just focused on ourselves and what we're doing to prepare our team," he said. "There's a real belief within the group that we can perform really well and that's come from hard work. It hasn't come from talking trash, or talking ourselves up or talking stuff that ain't real. It comes from four months of preparation, hard work, lots of wins, lots of goals, lots of blood, sweat and tears on the training field and lots of time away from home."

Japan vs. Switzerland
Japan heads into this tournament confident after winning the 2011 World Cup and fresh off its first Asian Cup. Japan is a technical team that relies on a high football IQ and a short passing game.
... Switzerland looks to make an impact in its first Women’s World Cup appearance. Switzerland may be new to this stage but has experienced players and a coach in Martina Voss-Tecklenburg who has been in countless big matches.
