Women’s Group F: With France losing, Colombia winning, gives the winner of Mexico/England later on a good shot in this as well.
Very entertaining match.
Mex vs. Eng.
Did they say Mexico’s coach has been there since 1998? That has to be an advantage, generally speaking.
I hope the 3 Lions or is it Lionesses can do it but it should be a good game.
An Americas/Latin American slam over Europe wouldn’t surprise me.
England’s women team like their men’s team seems to often come up short.
Woman’s soccer/football use to be popular in England a long time ago and then the FA came in and got on them. Women’s matches would even get 50,000 people (and I think they reference Goodison Park). Read up on it.

Dang, England has had 2 very good chances here, they are taking the match to Mexico, glad to see that... Mexico certainly isn’t doing much on attack mainly because England is dominating.
Faroe Islands beat Greece, beating Greece again? I think they did previously. Whoah.
Alex Greenwood, England. Reminds me of Beckham.
COME ON INGERLUND
Spain down by a goal to Brazil in the other game so, like to see them knot that up.
YEAH, ENGLAND SCORE.
KIRBY, GREAT GOAL!!
YEAH, ENGLAND SCORE.
KIRBY, GREAT GOAL!!
And another goal for England.
I don’t doubt that Mexico got ripped off as they are saying versus Colombia having a good goal ruled out, so it goes.
Looks like England will win this as the game is nearing it’s finish.
What’s up with Abby Wambach’s Nazi Youth hair cut?
I think US soccer could have suspended Solo if it wanted to. It did not have to wait for Solo to get convicted of the crime. After all, Patriots released Aaron Hernandez after he got arrested. Patriots did not wait.
US soccer made a mistake in this case. It wanted to keep Solo on the team no matter what. Head of US soccer admitted that other people were not interviewed. He didn’t see the point since they will contradict Solo’s account any way.
I think that Solo should have been suspended immediately when she got arrested. I wish US soccer fed has high standards. This case shows that it doesn’t really have high standards.
I have to agree with senator Blumenthal in this case.

He said: "It's a positive result for us. I'm really pleased for the players, they took some flak after the France game and had to respond in a positive manner today and they did."We had to stay patient, we had to wait for our moment to score and then our little mini Messi, Fran Kirby found a way to put the ball into the back of the net.
"I'm really pleased with the team's attitude in that game and it's something for us to build on. We'll build a lot of momentum from that and take a lot of confidence from that result and performance.
"Special players step up in special moments and there's more to come from Fran. She's calm, she's focused, she's determined to do well, but it wasn't just Fran Kirby today - the team were outstanding.
"The centre-backs won every aerial ball, the midfield players were safe in possession and picked up second balls and we saw the impact of the bench - which is going to be important, players from the sidelines coming in to make a difference and it was great to see Karen Carney come on and score a goal."
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English dead. In peace there's nothing so becomes a man As modest stillness and humility: But when the blast of war blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of the tiger; Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage; Then lend the eye a terrible aspect; Let pry through the portage of the head Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it As fearfully as doth a galled rock O'erhang and jutty his confounded base, Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean. Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide, Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit To his full height. On, on, you noblest English. Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof! Fathers that, like so many Alexanders, Have in these parts from morn till even fought And sheathed their swords for lack of argument: Dishonour not your mothers; now attest That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you. Be copy now to men of grosser blood, And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman, Whose limbs were made in England, show us here The mettle of your pasture; let us swear That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not; For there is none of you so mean and base, That hath not noble lustre in your eyes. I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips, Straining upon the start. The game's afoot: Follow your spirit, and upon this charge Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
